General
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 3:00 pm, and check-out is 12:00 pm. To check-out, please stop by the lobby to turn in your key, or leave your keys in the room. Give us a ring to let us know you are on your way out by dialing 0 on your room phone.
Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?
Early check-in and late check-out are based on availability. If available, late check-out can be accommodated until 1:00 pm; after that, it is a half-day charge. Please make arrangements for early arrival or late check-out in advance. If we are unable to accommodate your request, your luggage can be stored for you.
Can I store my bags before I check-in or after I check-out?
Yes, the front desk can hold your luggage for you until you're ready.
What are the options for parking?
We have a free parking lot on-site, as well as street parking around The Inn
What is the best way to pay for my reservation?
A valid credit card is required to be on file to reserve a room. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards. Guests must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid I.D. upon check-in.
Is there Wi-Fi available?
The Inn is equipped with complimentary wireless internet connectivity. To connect your device, please go to your device settings and select The Grove as the Wi-Fi connection name. The password is located on your key card packet. Please note that our bandwidth does not support data-heavy uploading, gaming, or video streaming.
Do you offer extra beds or cribs?
Rollaway beds are available for select room types for a $15 one-time fee. We can provide Pac & Play cribs for a $10 one-time fee.
Where should I stay if I'm attending an event at Climate Pledge Arena, T-Mobile Park, Showbox, Lumen Field or Wamu Theater?
The Grove West Seattle is an ideal home base for Seattle events.
Policies
What is the guestroom cancellation policy?
Should you need to cancel your reservation or change your arrival date, please make sure you contact us before 6:00 pm on the day prior to arrival to avoid being charged one night's room & tax.
Are pets allowed?
Your dogs are welcome at The Grove! We do not accept cats or other pets. Dogs must weigh 40 pounds or under. Whenever possible, arrangements to accommodate dogs should be made in advance. Dogs may not be left unattended anywhere on the property, including guest rooms, unless they are in a humane cage or container.
Regardless of your length of stay, there's a small $35 fee to cover deep cleaning of your room when you leave. If a pet is discovered which has not been registered, the guest's credit card will be charged an additional day's rate. Please note that the maximum number of dogs per room is two.
Any guest whose dog causes disturbance to other guests or the staff will be responsible for that activity. Should such disturbance not be remedied immediately the guest will be asked to check out without a refund.

Is smoking allowed on property?
The entire hotel is a non-smoking property. The State of Washington requires by law that no smoking take place within 25 feet of the door of an area designated as a non-smoking area. Smoking in a guest room will cause the guest to be charged an additional $250 for each day of the stay.
Reservations
What are the taxes and fees on my reservation?
They are 8.6% sales tax and 7% lodging tax.
Is there a minimum age requirement to check-in?
Yes, guests must be 21 years of age or older to check-in.
What is the credit authorization at check-in?
At check in, an authorization will be placed on your credit or debit card for the total amount of your reservation rate plus tax, along with an additional $50 USD per night for anticipated incidental charges. A valid card authorized to cover room, tax, and incidentals must be presented upon arrival. For debit cards, this authorization will appear as a pending charge and may temporarily hold funds from the checking account linked to the card until final payment is processed. You may pay your final amount owed via credit card upon departure. If you will not be checking in but would like to pay for a guest's stay, please contact reservations at 206.937.9920. Guests are not required to settle their account with the same card used at check in.
I have questions about my bill. Who do I call?

I booked on a website other than grovewestseattle.com, and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
Please contact the website where your original reservation was created to make changes to your stay. These changes will then be reflected in our system.
Are Pre Paid or Non Refundable offers charged at the time of booking?
Yes, all Pre Paid and Non Refundable offers are charged in full for the entire stay on the day the reservation is made.
How do I make changes to my reservation?
To make changes to your reservation, please contact the front desk by calling and selecting 0 from the menu, or by emailing the front office. We strongly recommend calling for the fastest assistance. If you choose to email, please allow up to 24 hours for a response.
Amenities
What are your breakfast options?
Yes, we serve a complimentary continental breakfast daily from 7 AM to 10 AM in the Orchard Room. Guests can enjoy a selection of breads, juices, coffee, and tea. Coffee and tea are also available in the lobby 24 hours a day.
Do you have a patio available for guests?
The Grove offers a cozy upper level patio with ample seating, table space, and a warm firepit for guests to enjoy. The firepit is typically available from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with extended availability into September and October depending on the weather. Please contact the Front Desk for assistance with lighting the firepit.
Do you have a business center?
The Inn's 24-hour lobby has a computer and printer for all your business needs.

What public transit options can I use while I stay?
The Grove is located along several convenient major bus lines, many with direct access to downtown in about 20 minutes. Notable routes within two blocks include the C line, traveling south to Lincoln Park & the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal or north to Downtown Seattle; the 50, traveling west to the Admiral District & Alki Beach or east to SODO and the airport via the Seattle Light Rail system; and the free shuttle to the Downtown Water Taxi. Cash is accepted at the door, but change is not given; exact change is recommended.

What are the hotel's emergency procedures?

Additionally, there is a floor plan of the building on the back of your guest room door, which indicates the location of your room, nearest exits, pull stations, and fire extinguishers. Instructions for what to do in case of a fire are included with this map. The Fire Department is automatically called when a smoke alarm or pull station is activated. Therefore, it is very important that you call the in-house emergency number (0) to notify Reception of the location and extent of the fire, as well as your location.
Earthquake: If you are inside the building, stand in a doorway or crouch under a desk or table. Stay away from windows, glass or mirrors. After the earthquake, check for injuries, prepare for aftershocks, and do not use the telephone except for emergency use. If you are outside, stand away from any structures or power lines. Do not try to enter any buildings until you have been told that it is safe to do so. Evacuation: If you are ordered to evacuate your room due to a possible fire or another emergency, please do the following:

Do you offer laundry service?
The Inn has self-service coin-operated laundry facilities available 24 hours. Located on the lower level of the northeast corner of the building, your room key will give you access. Washers and dryers are $1.75 per load, and only quarters are accepted.

Yes, please contact the Front Desk at 206.937.9920 to request additional pillows and/or blankets as necessary.
Where can I store the valuables I bring?
We have safe deposit boxes at the front desk to store any valuables.
Where can I get ice for my guestroom?
The ice machine is located in the interior hallway of the Inn, close to Room 130. Follow the signs and be sure to take your room key.
When is housekeeping service?
Housekeeping service is available daily from approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Stayover service is provided based on length of stay, with full service typically scheduled every few days during longer visits. If you need fresh towels, extra amenities, or additional supplies at any time, please contact the Front Desk and we'll be happy to assist. If you prefer not to receive housekeeping service, simply place the Do Not Disturb sign on the exterior of your door.
